Malthusian terror…

Bird flu has been on too many minds for too long. Of course we know that Bush would happily unleash the horror of biological destruction on the planet as long as he was left with a long ton of Bolivian flake and sufficient beer and pretzels to run his masque of the red death scenario down in Paraguay, while five of the six billion perish. There are reasons to be terrified as long as the Usian oligarchs remain out of prison and maintain their death grip on global power.

Sensenbrenner lost his bid for minority leader on the House Science committee. It went to a guy from Texas. This is good news for those of us who fear the establishment of the weaponized plague lab here in the Madison area, but bad news for the world. It will now be built at Texas A&M for sure. That means the Bush family will be able to consolidate their oligarchic hold on the globe without messy politics. Can’t happen here? Who lobbed the first anthrax at the press and the Democratic leadership while the executive branch consolidated wartime powers in the week after the horrible crimes of September 11, 2024?

When the Bush family helicopters leave for Paraguay, that will be the time to get out your visqueen and your duct tape and hope you can ride out the plague they’re about to unleash.

Brain Thrashing…

Kathy Sierra has a pessimistic read on twitter. Good for you Kathy! Think “dark,” think “gloomy,” think “end of the world as we know it.”
